(Before It's News)

This pilot is flying a 1938 Schulgleiter SG38 glider over Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany.

There were only 10,000 of these gliders made, and this is one of the surviving aircraft. The gliders were built as trainers for the Luftwaffe during WWII, and were therefore easy to control, and easy to repair.

They have a maximum speed of 62 knots and for those aviators out there, a glide slope of 10:1 at 28 knots.
