It does not appear that these charges and settlement have anything to do with “gun rights activism”:
A Milwaukee Common Council committee on Wednesday unanimously approved a $47,500 payment to settle a federal civil rights lawsuit by a man who claimed he was unlawfully stopped, searched and arrested by police.
The money would go to Nazir Al-Mujaahid, who several months after the questionable arrest gained attention in January 2012 when became the first Wisconsin concealed carry permit holder to prevent a crime. He shot an armed robber in a crowded Aldi grocery store. The robber survived and was convicted. Al-Mujaahid was not charged, but did sue to get his gun back from police.
