José Rodrigo Arechiga Gamboa, the “Chinese anthrax” accused of drug trafficking and alleged leader of the Sinaloa cartel gunmen on Friday was in court in San Diego this week
Aréchiga Gamboa, 34, is accused of drug trafficking on the border of Mexico for sale in the United States, specifically conspiracy to import and distribute methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana.
Present some details of his arrest, according to U.S. authorities.
1 -. Gamboa was using the passport of a person who had died, whose name was Norberto García Sicairos
2 -. Several plastic surgeries had been performed on him to change his image.
3 -. He tried to alter his fingerprints, but despite that, authorities found his identity through forensics.
. 4 – He arrived Thursday afternoon at San Diego International Airport amid tight security.
. 5 – He entered the court room in handcuffs on hand and foot. The hearing lasted about 10 minutes.
. 6 – Some visitors for the hearing were presumably part of your family.
7 -. Judge Mitchell D. Dembin was heard through an electronic translator and which also informed El Chino Anthrax of his rights.
8 -. Was denied the right to bail.
9 -. Though the judge explained that he could appeal the decision, however, his attorney rejected the option.
10 -. Federal Prosecutor considered him a “risk to the community.”
After his first appearance in the Federal Court for the Southern District of California, his attorney, Frank Ragen, refused to speak to the media, arguing that he had just been assigned the case of the drug dealer.
