The Islamic State extremist group has taken control of 2,500 chemical rockets filled with the deadly nerve agent sarin and are stored along with other chemical warfare agents, Iraq said in a letter circulated Tuesday at the United Nations.
Am I the only one who smells something fishy? A decade of searching high and low for Saddam’s WMD, none found. Yet here they are in plain view, for the taking.
So, who lied here? Were there actually WMD near Baghdad that were being stockpiled that the U.S. never found? Unlikely.
Were there WMD near Baghdad that the U.S. found and kept secret for a later day? Possible.
Were there never WMD near Baghdad and the U.S. has resupplied Iraq? Possible.
Are we being lied to now about this? Possible.
Hurts my head.
Yep don’t know why there is know one asking who in congress and the U.S army allowed there to be WMD in Iraq that they obviously know about!
In 1989 Iraq disposed of 40 tonnes of Sarin filled warheads due to Chemical degradation, (http://fas.org/irp/gulf/cia/960715/72569.htm) the usual method of disposal for civil servants is to bulldoze said waste into a hole with other waste or drop into the sea and collect your bonus and pension. The pre 1989 batches of Sarin had a 2 week shelf life before the advent of binary weapons.
As you can imagine, if ISIL(ISIS) can dig out by hand several thousand rusted, busted and leaking chemical warheads potency by now is pretty weak and they would have been better off with a high school chemistry set.
