This story is pretty amazing. It did not happen to me but it happened to a friend of mine from high school. Basically, my friend from high school, Tim, saw a girl we went to high school together with, Amanda. She came up and hugged him to say hello.
Well, Amanda was dating, and is now married to, a cop in the city, Mike. Mike got controlling and crazy and decided to give Tim a message. After calling Tim and saying they were going to kill him, about a week later they jumped Tim and knocked him out. They basically left him for dead with blood everywhere. When he woke up is when the story got even crazier.
Now, here’s the real kicker. Tim tried calling 911 repeatedly for an ambulance. 911 did not pick up his call. When they did pick up the call, they did not send out an ambulance. Tim’s girlfriend came home and drove him to the hospital.
The police department manager basically retired a short time later, but then started working in a nearby city. Due to corruption, this case has been referred to federal court.
There is not a video, but there is a great legal document attached in the linked-to article.
I would recommend reading the court legal docs for review. It’s an amazing story of police brutality and corruption. The whole department is run like a bunch of thugs.
It’s pretty scary stuff. I really like and appreciate the information [Cop Block] gets out to us. This incident is not receiving a lot a press and the police are trying to sweep it under the rug. We need more outlets like [Cop Block].
The attached picture in the beginning of the article is of Mike and Amanda who got married about a year after this incident.
