Poor Old Hillary: She’s Only Made A Lousy $12 Million in the Last17 Months
Poor old Mrs C, she has only made around $12 million since she left the State Department in February 2013. I can feel her pain, a measly $705,882 dollars a month, what can you do with that amount these days?
She said that at the end of Mr Clinton’s presidency in 2001 her family “came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt”
“We had no money when we got there, and we struggled to, you know, piece together the resources for mortgages, for houses, for Chelsea’s education. You know, it was not easy.” (source)
Sky News US are reporting that her memoirs and speaking appointments since leaving the State Department have netted her this paltry amount. I
If she does make it to the Oval office as the first female president of the USA she may be facing questions about her personal wealth. She won’t be the first politician to have shown scant regard for American citizens and the real monetary problems they face.
John McCain, when questioned did not know how many houses he owned and Mitt Romney famously said he was:
“not concerned about the very poor” and that his wife “drives a couple of Cadillacs”
Nice work if you can get it. Sadly most Americans have to settle for a low paid job, possibly part-time, with the hope each month that the kids don’t grow and need new shoes. I wonder if the first Clinton grandchild, due later this year, will ever have to wear hand-me-downs and go to bed hungry?
