US State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki told reporters on Monday that the Ukrainian government using airstrikes that kill civilians to defend its own territory. Responding to RT’s Gayane Chichakyan question about civilian deaths after Ukrainian army’s airstrikes, Jen Psaki said that Kiev has right to do that as any sovereign state in the world.
