An armed homeowner got the drop on a armed burglar Wednesday, only to have the tables turned again after the suspect found a BB gun in Pima County, Arizona.
When the homeowner confronted Slade Olsen, 21, he took his pistol and stepped outside to call 911. But when the homeowner returned, Olsen had a BB gun that looks like an AR-15, which he had found in the house, as leverage to get his handgun back.
Olsen, still armed with the BB gun, cornered the homeowner and held him hostage. Responding deputies ordered Olsen to the ground, but he spun around and aimed the BB rifle at Deputy Justin Meeboer.
Meeboer opened fire on Olsen, striking him at least once. Olsen was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Olsen was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with deadly weapon and burglary in the first degree.
