The same company that manufactured the full body X-ray scanners for airports are now making handheld scanners for the police and military
Military and police will soon be equipped with X-ray guns.
The device, dubbed the Mini-Z by its manufacturer, will be used by military and police to detect drugs, weapons, explosives and other contraband on the fly in locations that normally make X-ray scanning difficult, such as security checkpoints or random traffic stops. It was developed by American Science and Engineering, Inc. (AS&E), the same company that manufactured the X-ray full body scanner for airports.
