I wonder where Jesus would stand on the carbon tax?
With that “render unto Caesar” rant He pretty much threw His lot in with the statist pay-your-taxes crowd, which might incline one to conclude that He would advocate paying whatever taxes were decreed by the government of the day.
Then again, He did throw the money-men out of The Temple.
His followers today do not generally play a significant role in the battle to save the planet. Sure, you get the odd Christian/Environmentalist like Wiebo Ludwig, but neither the Christians or the Environmentalists seem to be particularly eager to embrace that legacy.
Yet one would think Jesus might have an opinion about the mess we've made of the world God created.
I think He'd be pissed off.
He would call the politicians and the leaders of the community for their unsubstantiated lies in order to fill their coffers! Matthew 21:12-13,Mark 11:15-18 just like him flipping the tables and calling all the scammers on the fleecing of the people!
