I personally don't put a lot of stock in petitions. The only one I ever started was to get Canada out of NATO. You know how that's gone.
But today I signed one that is intended to keep Emma Czornobaj out of jail, and I hope you sign it too.
Emma made a dumb-ass mistake a few years ago, a mistake that took the lives of two people on a motorcycle who realized too late that she had left her car parked in the middle of the road… so she could shepherd a family of ducklings across the highway.
A dumb-ass mistake for sure. But a mistake made for the most noble of reasons. Emma will have to live with her mistake every day for the rest of her life.
There is nothing to be gained by throwing her in jail.

What about her VICTIMS?? where is their justice??? She irresponsibly and recklessly left her car parked in the road RESULTING IN THE DEATHS OF INNOCENT VICTIMS!!
Contributory negligence at the very least! IF you let one person off, you open the door for others!
This IS NOT A VICTIMLESS CRIME!! for that reason alone, she needs to be enter the penal system!
I am no fan of the government in almost any form,.. I would swing or hang a jury had there been no victim but as it is.. I couldn’t cut her any breaks! sorry just my opinion!
