AZ AG Tom Horne only statewide candidate to win NRA endorsement
Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne has not only received the NRA endorsement, but has won its highest rating.
Tom Horne is the only statewide officer or candidate for any office in Arizona to be so honored. It is highly unusual for the group to endorse an Attorney General candidate or make Primary Election endorsements.
The NRA’s Political Victory Fund ranks political candidates based on voting records, public statements and their responses to an NRA-PVF questionnaire. Their track record is impressive. In 2008, NRA-PVF was involved in 271 campaigns for the U.S. House and Senate, winning in 230 of those races (85%). It also endorsed thousands of state legislative candidates that same year and achieved an 84% success rate in those elections.
