Prince Vega is scratching his head at the hype surrounding the Ice Bucket Challenge. The music artist is starting to dig deeper into the recent challenges surfacing the internet that has everyone participating in it. Numerous amount of Prince Vega friends have been participating in the challenge and may even soon nominate Prince Vega to get him involved in it. The purpose of the challenge is to raise awareness to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. According to CBS Local, the ALS challenge donations have already reached an astounding $22.9 million dollars in donations. Prince Vega made it clear he’s always going to back anything that supports a positive cause IF the establishment isn’t behind it. The artist recently updated his status adding how curious it is that “out of the blue” billionaires and celebrities suddenly grew a heart to support a good cause together when they normally don’t.
His Facebook status:
“PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME OUT IN A ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE!!!
It’s something strange about this Ice Bucket Challenge stuff. You have every celebrity, billionaire and everyone doing it. I’m not a rocket scientist but what I do know is when Hollywood is embracing something its either to distract us or take money out of our pockets to fund their brainwashing machine. I’m going to look into this ALS thing because it’s something fishy about this. Most of those people don’t give a damn about anyone suffering from a disease because if THEY DID the world would of been a better place a long time ago. I’M NOT BUYING INTO THIS STUFF!”
One of the latest news silently being carried through the media is about Ice bucket co-founder Corey Griffin passing away in a Nantucket, Mass after accidentally drowning. According to the Boston Globe, Corey dove off a building at Straight Wharf in Nantucket at 2 a.m. on Aug. 16 and drowned. Corey was a close friend of Pete Frates, 29, a man diagnosed with ALS in 2012. The fundraiser he last attended for ALS raised over $100,000 in donations!
