Dr. Ralph Heap is the conservative choice —- Worsley’s history is colluding with liberals
Two candidates are running under the Republican banner for the single state senate seat in Mesa’s Legislative District 25. Although they both claim to be conservatives, the facts tell a different story.
The incumbent Bob Worsley has shown himself to be a Democrat collaborator who joined with five other AZ Senate Republicrats —- Adam Driggs, John McComish, Steve Pierce, Michele Reagan, and Rich Crandall —- and the unified Democrats. Their betrayal resulted in passage of the unconscionable and unsustainable Medicaid Expansion, a key element of Barack Obama’s signature health care scheme.
In its endorsement of Worsley, the far-left Arizona Republic newspaper lavished praise on his deceit, calling him “one of six courageous lawmakers who bucked the party to do what was right for Arizona.”
Challenging Worsley is Ralph Heap, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon. His issues page tells the unequivocal story of where he stands on the matters of importance to the grassroots, Constitutional conservatives in the district. As a physician, he has a deep understanding of the myriad problems connected with the multibillion expansion of Medicaid which his opponent recklessly and irresponsibly supported. Heap is pro-life, pro-Second Amendment and committed to limited government and lower taxes.
A tour of the Secretary of State’s public campaign finance reports tells where Worsley gets his support. His donor list is heavy with lobbyists, unionists, utility company, big pharma and health care execs. The pro-illegal labor Chamber of Commerce and immigration lawyers are contributors, along with a fair share of Democrats. It’s not much of a surprise to see Cindy Hensley McCain’s Hensley/Anheuser-Busch Co. executives Robert Delgado and Doug Yonko among Worsley’s donors.
We first covered Bob Worsley in March 2012 with Worsley’s new pals at Periódico de la República de Arizona and then again in June 2012 with this post, Bob Worsley: Hypocrite-in-Chief.
Compare Dr. Ralph Heap’s informative website to the mumbo-jumbo dished by Worsley, who inanely declares, “We need to repair our image and heal the scars of divisive politics,” as he promotes his “vision” #ELEV8AZ which includes “more apples, more sunshine, more ethics, more music…less hatred and less government.” Considering that he irresponsibly supported massive government overreaches Worsley’s words are all the more shallow and glib.
Ralph Heap’s campaign is being out raised by the extremely wealthy and politically connected Worsley who founded Sky Mall. Heap’s donation site is here.
This election is crucial. Time is short.
