The law offices of Morgan Verkamp have released a prepared statement, written by Dr. William Thompson, describing the intentional omission of significant data during a 2004 study released in the journal Pediatrics regarding the Mumps, Measles, and Rubella (MMR) Vaccine. Dr. Thompson describes the omitted data as being descriptive of a link between the MMR vaccine and the development of Autism Spectrum Disorders in children.
Dr. Thompson describes the data that was excluded as showing an 340% increased risk among African American children who received the MMR vaccine before the age of 36 months of developing Autism Spectrum Disorders. He recalls that decisions regarding which findings to report were made after the data was collected within the study. That means that the CDC researchers decided which parts of the data to report after the data had been collected. Dr. Thompson goes on to state that he believes “final study protocol” was not followed within the study.
