California, Colorado, and Washington have led the way in marijuana legalization, but they don’t use it as much as Rhode Island.
The latest National Survey on Drug Use and Health has provided state-level statistics that show the percentage of marijuana use in different age groups throughout the nation. Among the top users are New England states Rhode Island and Vermont, ranked first and third respectively.
Legal havens such as Colorado and Washington don’t even crack the top five states in marijuana use, giving way to Rhode Island, Vermont, Alaska, Oregon, and Montana. Colorado and Washington are next at six and seven, while California just makes it into the top 10.
On the other side of the spectrum, Utah and Kansas rank dead last 49th and 50th. Lucky for them, Colorado is smack-dab in between.
