-Guys chasing a car with baseball bats. 1200 block of Edward Ave. Cops actually said ‘Purge has begun’! Using 5-0 radio. Jefferson county.

There have been others but I myself heard the words from the dispatchers mouth ‘The Purge’. Pretty crazy, not sure where this came from all of a sudden but it’s here.
Things remain relatively calm and normal at the moment but its still early. The bad things always happen later at night. Stay tuned…
Meh. I don’t think much will come out of this. If it does however, I hope you stockpiled weapons, ammo, food, water, med supplies and fuel. Other than that, I expect a few extra renegades causing commotion and an extra drunk and disorderly just because.

This is a hoax started by some students. Not a government psy op or anything really going to happen. Not to say some loon took it serious and caused some trouble but I am sure these are isolated incidents.

Posted a comment debunking the fear porn being generated by this hoax of a purge. Said it was accepted and may take a few minutes to become visible by other users. Of course my comment never shows up.
Again this “purge” is a hoax started by some students. There is no actual purge and if some loon took it serious it would be an isolated incident. Google “Louisville purge” and several news articles will come up explaining it is a hoax.

Also, if you don’t like it, then why did you bother to comment here? If want your news to be infotainment, or like a sedative that reinforces your normalcy bias, then Huffpost or Yahoo is probably more your speed.
Some of it is fake, but a lot of it is good. Being exposed to the fake right next to the good helps develop and sharpen one’s sense of discernment. However, clearly your mind is locked like a vault, so developing discernment is clearly beyond your reach. Have a nice day.

Another case of, “if it is really happening, people are sick”, and if it is not happening, “people trying to generate a hoax to cause a fantasy of such horror to become fact is even sicker.”

Had to actually go out and research this one, to come back and say – TOTAL B.S.
This was all a hoax, started as a rumor, by a school kid. When the police finally tracked it back to him, his reply was ‘wow, I never thought it would lead to this’, referring to the police gearing up for basically a 1-million-plus population city going into martial law nearly, because of the threat of anarchistic riots.
That this story is up for 3-days (Friday until at least now, Sunday), says a lot for the irresponsible contributor, Mort Amsel, who claims to be ‘a reporter’, that couldn’t spend the 10-minutes online that I did, to find that this whole thing is a hoax; or to take down the article after it has been pointed out by myself and others to be one.
What if you have a “purge” and know one shows up? Exactly what happened. It was a hoax by a HS kid.
The people that need purging are the ones allegedly going to purge, only in America, oh no Iraq as well, oh and the Ukraine, oh and Syria, the list goes on, all the fault of the USA, you’ve been purging for years.

this reminds me of the usa riots project a few years ago in egypt. it was all so scripted, a little trial run i guess. doubt it will fly as well over here, people are too jaded.
The very first picture of the buildings on fire was taken from the London Riots of 2011 (re: killing of Mark Dugan). Did you use this image to enhance your post? Or was this image part of one the “Purge” posters? If so, could you please mark it as such? As the first image on the page (plus the title of this post), it makes it look like it’s happening right now in Louisville (especially after the news coming from the Ferguson riots).
There is legitimate cause for concern about these Purge posters, since they’re showing up in different cities and thus indicate an coordinated/organized event (i.e. not just some kiddie prank). But having a frightening picture from an unrelated event (or from a Purge poster, if that’s what it was from)–and not properly labeling it as such–is misleading. What people need right now is to stay calm and keep their wits about them.
