The U.S. government has recently permitted DigitalGlobe to sell imagery with 25cm resolution for commercial customers. If that’s what the military will let the rest of the world have then clearly they have higher resolution available for themselves.

  • they can also hack into their brains’ and use them for remote ground surveillance. simply by recording bio-electric finger print and uploading to a keyhole in satellite. so they can see what the animal sees and take control over the animals mind. “brain nappers” is what they call themselves at the CIA and NSA.

  • i agree

  • The resolution of that image looks more like 30mm than 30cm. But this is old news. Our satellites have been able to do this for years. However, most of them are not looking at most things most of the time, and miss a lot.

  • Yet they cannot find a jumbo jet filled with gps equipment.

    • …and indestructible ‘black boxes’ are suddenly unreliable…lol.

  • And the IRS has lot all its e-mails.

  • OK, here’s the real question, Just because a satellite can perform a particular task, should it?

  • Amazing, and they couldn’t locate the missing airliner?
