The Middle East Or Middle America? This Is What Happend When Ferguson Looks Like Fallujah

I don’t want to live in an America where the people fear the government and its enforcement minions. This is the quintessential definition of tyranny. I want to live in an America where the government and its enforcement goons fear the people. This is the quintessential Jeffersonian definition of freedom.

Our Founding Fathers provided the people with the First Amendment and the right to peaceably assemble in order to confront tyranny before it could gain a foothold. The newly released crowd control Army manual attempts to legitimize the killing of peaceful protesters. Obama has placed the Second Amendment in jeopardy with a serious of contrived actions ranging from Fast and Furious to the infamous Batman shooting. Under the auspices of the newest version of the East German Stasi and its pot bellied, blue uniformed goons from the TSA, the Fourth Amendment is gone. Thanks to the current Congress and Obama, the last vestiges of due process and the Fifth Amendment were obliterated with the passage of the “Snatch and grab” legislation known as the NDAA which allows for the secret police to secretly arrest people for any reason and indefinitely detain citizens without bail, a trial, legal representation or even formal charges being presented. Prohibitions against cruel and unusual punishment have been obliterated as evidenced by the three American citizens, one a juvenile from Denver, CO., who have been murdered by the government in drone strikes without any due process of law. The 10th Amendment, designed to protect the citizens from federal government over-reach is destroyed, in part, through the militarization of the police through Project 1033 which represents the extreme militarization of the police.

To Serve and Protect

The local police have become the extension of the illegal and unconstitutional national police force, DHS. Project 1033, operating under the auspices of DHS, with the cooperation of the Pentagon, has militarized the police to the point where Ferguson looks more like Fallujah. These two entities have changed the psychological mentality of the police to the point where they hold the general public in utter contempt. In an increasing number of communities, the average citizen is viewed as the enemy of the federalized local police.  According to the Cato Institute, the militarized police have carried out 40,000 swat team raids on individual residences in the past year. A third of these raids went bad. Innocent citizens have been brutalized, the homes at the “wrong address” have been destroyed and innocent people have been murdered. But who is counting when the citizens are living under undeclared martial law imposed by the local police departments who are extensions of the modern day East German Stasi, the DHS.

When Ferguson resembles the Middle East’s version of Fallujah more than it does Middle America, there is a problem. When combat troops serving in the Middle East are indistinguishable from policemen on the streets of Middle America, there is a major problem. When American citizens are held with the same contempt as Iraqi combatants, there is a monumental problem. When St. Louis County Police Chief, Timothy Fitch, has announced that he will be a part of a national delegation of law enforcement officials traveling to Israel to study counter-terrorism tactics, this is much more than a problem, this is in-your-face-tyranny! Please tell me how a police chief keeps his job when he is training to treat American citizens in the same manner that the IDF treats Palestinians? This equates the average American citizen with being a member of Hamas. By allowing our law enforcement leaders to be trained by those fighting Middle Eastern terrorists threatens to bring the Gaza Strip to America. 

Conclusion

When I first heard the term “The Department of Homeland Security”, images of Nazi Germany came to mind and I could not get the phrase “Der Fatherland” out my mind. “Der Homeland” and all that it stood for is what my father’s family escaped from when they came to United States. This might seem like hyperbole to some, however, when you consider that DHS was created by Markus Wolfe, a former East German Stasi Leader and was paid $5 million dollars to do so, critics should not be considered to be paranoid conspiracy theorists. It would appear that my original instincts related to the Nazi phrase “Der Homeland” were right on the money. This is tyranny. And when this Nazi-style tyranny spreads to our local police departments and the Army givens itself permission to shoot peaceful protesters, this is not a just tyranny, these transgressions have escalated to treason.
