In Latin, this group is named “Those involved in affairs”, and it is actually the successor of “Frumentarii”, an ancient police group from Roman times. At their origins, this group was dealing mainly with carrying information, but their power grew, and they started to commit crimes. Lately, the Agentes in Rebus started to be feared by the citizens, and they could be found in any street corner, supervising the empire. Even the emperor started to fear of their power, so they were annihilated.

 

9. 5th Constabulary Security Unit (CSU)

This secret police group was formed in the Philippines, under Ferdinand Marcos. The group was led by General Fidel Ramos. Later, he turned against Marcos, and was considered a hero due to his acts in the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution. The group was well known for torture, especially for psychological methods. Some rumors even say they learned the torture methods from the CIA. They were really feared by the public, so they had to rename themselves, but after the revolution, the entire group was disbanded.

The group was led by Dimitrios Ioannidis, one of the main members of the junta, who had the motto: “He who enters here exists fried on cripple”.

This group was formed during the Ming Dynasty, in the 13th century. At the beginning, it was only a group of bodyguards for the emperor, led by Zhu Yuanzhang. They wanted to keep away any enemy. After a decade, the group became to act in public, getting more and more power. The citizens were scared about it. They conducted massive operation, interrogating thousands of people suspected to be criminals or rebels. More than 15.000 were executed by Jinyiwei.
