As soon as I see all the exclamation points and words like “alarming”, “scary”, etc. i know its going to be another propaganda piece, usually promoting some illusions of the Christians, same as it has been since the sixties with Billy Graham, “The World Tommorow” etc. They have been preaching the end of the world for centuries, and we’re still here. Not to negate the value of the political realizations, but the conclusions are in dream land.
In the New English Bible 2. Thess. 5 it is stated, ” 1. Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2. for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.”
Like a thief in the night? As labor pains on a pregnant woman? Expected and known to come but when? When? We don’t know exactly but surely the labor pain of the world will come and can be felt already. Are you living under the rock if you don’t notice it? Even the deep underground bases cannot save your earthly life if you are not under the protection of the living God the Creator.
