From Ali`i Nui Mō`ī Edmund K. Silva, Jr., 9-2-14… “Questions and Answers”
This was posted yesterday at the Kingdom of Hawai`i blog. This contains the answers to many questions people have asked about Ali`i Nui Mō`ī Edmund K. Silva, Jr., the “Kingdom of Hawai`i, and his place in the “Kingdom of Hawai`i. [note: although this has a title with 140904 (9-4-14), it was actually written on 140902 (9-2-14).]
“Here in this communication, I am answering common questions often asked. Therefore, I decided to write those questions and my answers to give you a better understanding regarding myself and the work before me.”

Here are a few highlights, from my view.
“Ever since a boy I was taught that the Kingdom of Hawai`i was our true government and not the United States of America. My parents were careful not to impose their prejudices and hard negative emotions upon me… I was told I would someday be called to restore our Nation by my parents and Kupunas, who often came to talk story with my ohana. The details were never told but, my duty will be a sacred one, blessed of Heavenly Father.
“As a boy, I learned that in me ran the blood of ancient royalty that went back many generations, that I had the blood of King Kamehameha I and King Kamehameha Ai lu`au of the sacred nau`opio blood lines… Queen Emma, who was wife to King Kamehameha IV, predicted that from her sacred line a male child would restore the Kingdom.
“I never called myself King. Not at first. I was sought out by those whose fathers sat in council with King Kamehameha III, who were members of the original House of Nobles. It was their descendants that sought me out. It was them that called me Ali`i Nui Mō`ī King. King of the Kingdom of Hawai`i, King blessed and anointed by the hand of Akua.
“Vision for a “restored” Kingdom of Hawai`i… That we are a Nation that is reliant upon ourselves, self-sustainable and a nation that lives in harmony with nature and Nature’s God. We shall enter into Treaties with other nations that will make sense for Hawai`i. We shall be a non-aligned nation. We shall promote peace and create a Peace Center here in these islands for the Nations of the World to come talk story openly about taking care of their nations through peaceful solutions that are in Harmony with the spirit of aloha and the lands they live on.
“What about the people who live here on the islands that have no “bloodline” Hawai`ian connection… Prior to the illegal overthrow of the Kingdom, King Kamehameha III welcomed all into the Kingdom with open arms. That tradition is as fresh now as it was then. All are welcomed and are encouraged to call the Kingdom of Hawai`i their home and government.
“[In the Kingdom of Hawai`i]… There will be checks and balances, for no kings are dictators. The King represents his people, even at the cost of his own life. History paints kings as ruthless and evil. Myself, I don’t hold to that way of governance. My ancestors did not govern with ruthless behavior either. There was however strong superstitious beliefs long before other nations came to these islands that I will not restore.
“The Kingdom will find solutions for the benefit of this Kingdom and all of mankind, so that we can live a fruitful and meaningful life that is our natural gift, given to us from God. I also believe that the Kingdom can find a solution to heal our earth, i.e. lands, oceans, rivers, forests, from the greed of evil. I look forward to seeing this reversal in my life time.”
