The following message was sent to Legislative District 28 Chairman Scott O’Connor by Tom Mason, a decades-long precinct committeeman. It was also copied to AZ GOP chairman Robert Graham and Maricopa County Chairman A.J. La Faro. This district has been the longtime home to John McCain, Jon Kyl and their establishment operatives, who preach the deceptive message of “unity,” which actually translates to promoting the liberal theme of the Democrats.
Scott,
I attended my last district 28 meeting as an elected PC this past Tuesday. Interesting that you would greet me and Sally Geyer as we approached the sign-in table with “here’s two faces I don’t recognize – are you two new PCs”? Sally and I have been PCs for over 20 years. Sally has been the PC captain in Kaibab Precinct for 18 years with exception of the past two where I was the captain. Actually, I was appointed by you because none of the (I was assured I wouldn’t have to do anything) PCs in Kaibab would take the position. As a side note, of the ten elected PCs in Kaibab, I believe we were the only two present at Tuesday’s meeting.
I would have extended my congratulations to District 28 PCs Kathy Petsas, Jane, Ann and Bob Lynch on whatever efforts they may have put forth in electing “closet democrats” (aka RINOs) to replace Conservative Republican PCs. But I didn’t want to disillusion Shawnna Bolick (candidate for State Representative in 28) or Wendy Rogers (congressional candidate in CD 9) who were both in attendance and are counting on Republican PCs to get out the GOP base. In my precinct of Kaibab newly elected PC Marci Farnsworth has an Eric Meyer (current democrat representative for Dist.28) sign in her front yard and PC Susan Charlton and her husband Paul are Co-Chairs of democrat Fred DuVal’s gubernatorial campaign committee.
While democrats are busy “fundamentally” changing the United States of America into a socialist nation it struck me as rather odd you, who are never reluctant to take on a GOP office holder or call someone out during a meeting, would not have publicly chastised PCs Charlton and Farnsworth and/or called for their resignations as Republican Precinct Committeemen.
This may come as a surprise to you but I assure you Fred DuVal, Felecia Rotellini, Terry Goddard and Eric Meyer aren’t the least bit surprised with their good fortune; because all the aforementioned District 28 PCs could easily fall under the “usual suspects” category when it comes to helping democrats get elected to public office.
The democrat’s mantra for this year’s election cycle is “It doesn’t matter what party you belong to”. Unfortunately, we have PCs who are misguidedly playing into the democrat’s hands. I have always maintained these special interest non-principled political campaign strategists and lobbyists would eventually infiltrate and destroy our political party structure.
Scott, unless you too believe in “bi-partisan” party structure, you need to get a handle on these PCs before we lose our state to the special interests that prey upon the naive and uninformed.
Tom Mason
District 28 Kaibab PC
