Obama administration plays racial politics

(Before It's News)

U. S. Attorney General Eric Holder has announced that the Department of Justice’s civil rights division is launching a “wide-ranging investigation into the practices of the Ferguson, Missouri police.” On their agenda will be claims of excessive force and profiling.

The action follows the shooting death last month of Michael Brown, a black 18-year-old by a white Ferguson police officer. White House officials attended the funeral. Al Sharpton, who in 1988 represented Tawana Brawley in a despicable rape case hoax in which he accused police as perpetrators, used his eulogy to again incite the mourners against police.

The Obama administration’s decision represents an aggressive step in addressing the shooting, which set off days of protests and looting rampages. The investigation coincides with a Justice Department probe into whether Officer Darren Wilson, who fired the fatal shots, violated Brown’s civil rights.

Yet there are no such investigations into the alarming rates of black-on-black murders. WND, in a statistic-filled post, points to police reports in the city of Chicago alone —- where Barack Obama once worked as a community organizer and where his former chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, now serves as mayor —- illustrating most of the city’s massive murder mayhem is black-on-black crime.

U.S. Attorney General Holder dismissed charges in the 2008 case of the New Black Panther Party, whose club-wielding members engaged in voter intimidation outside a Philadelphia polling place.  During a congressional hearing, U.S. Rep.  John Culberson (R-TX) insisted that race had infected the decision-making process. “There’s clearly evidence, overwhelming evidence, that your Department of Justice refuses to protect the rights of anybody other than African Americans to vote,” the Texas Republican said. “There’s a pattern of a double standard here.”

“I would disagree very vehemently with the notion that there’s overwhelming evidence that that is in fact true,” Eric Holder replied. “This Department of Justice does not enforce the law in a race-conscious way.”

Is that a fact?
