Destroying, degrading or containing the Islamic State—whichever goal President Obama chooses—will be the easy part. Finding ways for fundamentalist Islam to express itself peacefully is a bigger, tougher and more important project.

Pentagon jet carrying 100 military people emergency lands in Iran
According to the Pentagon, the jet was a chartered jet carrying 100 military people which went off course and ran out of fuel. It requested permission to land in Iran. Two Iranian jets escorted it to Bandar Abbas, where it landed safely. No one is being detained. Iran will probably play nice with this and just let them go. UPDATE: The MSM is spinning this as a forced landing, it was not, it was completely voluntary and caused by the plane going off course and burning too much fuel, as the Pentagon originally stated. It is rumored that an outdated flight plan caused this, once again I doubt it. That is not what the Pentagon originally said, and all the Pentagon tweets magically vanished. It was not any sort of beurocratic problem, it simply went off course, ran out of fuel, requested a landing and received escort. Let’s see where this goes, CNN will probably try to spin World War 3 with this one.
