When the living descendents of the monolithic builders of Easter Island are today asked how the giant Moai statues were transported so far to their final resting places around the island, the answer given was always believed to be simply folklore; they walked.
Just imagine for a moment if that were true, that the mysterious Easter Island statues ‘magically’ walked to their destinations all around the island. What magnificent celebration would have taken place when the Moai came to life and ‘walked’ across the island to stand so majestically for generations to come. What a site it must have been, and how incredible it is to see today that once again, folklore takes it’s rightful place among our planet’s historical record.
