There’s no question obesity is a hot topic these days. With obesity rates already high and continuing to climb, there are research teams all over the world trying to get to the bottom of it.
If you ask me, obesity is largely related to lifestyle choices. People choose whether or not they exercise and what their diet consists of. I’m not trying to be insensitive, but I’ve witnessed people make positive, health-conscious decisions that have allowed them to lose weight, get in shape, and improve their health. I’ve even done it.
I’m not saying that this is true for everyone. There are plenty of people with genetic predispositions, thyroid problems, or other issues that make it very difficult to maintain a healthy weight.
