![]() Anonymous Declares War Against Hong Kong Police (Video) Published on Oct 1, 2014 The “hacktivist” group Anonymous sent this video to News2share early Wednesday morning, apparently declaring a cyber-war against Hong Kong for the treatment of protestors there. The group has already defaced several Hong Kong-based websites, and promised that dozens more would be affected over the next few days. To see a list of the sites, screenshots of the defaced sites, a transcript of this video and updates go to http://news2share.com/start/2014/10/0… *If you are a member of the media and would like quotes or information from the producer who has been in contact with Anonymous, email [email protected]* ***If you have footage of the protests happening in Hong Kong send us a message and we will post it*** This added tension comes amidst massive protests in Hong Kong, where citizens has amassed in the thousands to fight for democracy. While Anonymous’s actions are pro-democracy, they may renew fears of cyberwar between the United States and China. This is the second video they’ve sent to News2share.com, following a video released nearly two weeks ago explaining their plan to wage cyber-war against ISIS. News2share received this video as a contribution, and in no way should be construed as endorsing or affiliating with Anonymous.
