Police discover over 200 pounds of pot while executing search warrant

Officers from the Jonesboro Police Department, along with agents from the Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant and seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana at a Jonesboro, Arkansas, apartment Tuesday.

The ongoing drug investigation turned up 150 pounds of pot inside the apartment and another 60 pounds stashed in a vehicle outside, for a grand total of 210 pounds. The marijuana was packed in plastic and sandwiched with grease in an effort to hide the scent, but the drug-sniffing dog wasn’t fooled.

A 31-year-old man was arrested during the raid and is due in court Wednesday. His name has not been released.
