Profile Troll (Beware)

The definition of a profile troll is : a person who sows discord on the Internet by first setting up an apealing profile so you will except their friends request and then after being included as your friend or in your circle the profile troll will then change their profile picture and text to iether apose your views or to make you look bad to others. The profile troll is much like any other troll except the profile troll will also spy on you for others and or report you for no reason to try to cause harm or dismay starting arguments or upsetting people or posting inflammatory,extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog or social network) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
This sense of the words profile troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, but have been used more widely. Media attention in recent years has equated trolling with online harassment. For example, mass media has used troll to describe “a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families.”
Tips to avoiding the profile troll
(1) always do a reasonable check of ones profile before excepting his or her friends request.
(2) enter their name in a search engine and take a fast scan to see what comes up ( you never know )
(3) ask him or her why they are interested in befriending you and make sure the profile was not just created by seeing how much activity him or her have had.
(4) if there is just a few post on their page or just pics of cat or birds ect you get the picture right ? 9 out of ten this person is just trying to get close.
(5) profiles with no picture or obvious fake names should be avoided.
