If you’re planning on getting yourself through university based on the strength of your comic book collection, you’ve got a long way to go. Comics just aren’t a good investment; for the average book you buy, its value drops to somewhere between a dollar and a nickel if you want to sell it off at the garage sale. That is unless you are the owner of these ten most valuable comic books ever published. Take a look and enjoy reading:

 

10. Whiz Comics: $ 84,000

This comic book was first published in the year 1940 bringing Captain Marvel for the first time. The value of this comic book in good condition is $84,000 only. Whiz No.2, the first comic of the series, was sold at a private auction for $281,0001. Interestingly enough, Whiz #2 did not feature any of the adventures of Wiz Khalifa. The cover where Captain Marvel was chucking a car at a wall was not surprisingly inspired by Superman’s first appearance in Action Comics #1.

 

9. More Fun Comics: $ 84,000

More Fun Comics, which was originally named More Fun, takes ninth place as one of ten most expensive comic in the world. Just as the Whiz comics, it will cost you $ 84,000 (new comic). There is an actual store located in Denver of the same name. The store has a wide range of comics,graphic novels, toys, board games, card games, and other cool items that you didn’t know you couldn’t live without.

 

8. Flash Comics: $ 97,000

The Flash is a fictional comic book superhero from the DC Comics universe. Flash Comic arrives in eighth place on this top ten list of the most valuable comic in the world. First publisher in January 1940, it was the first comic where the flash appears but published in a bizarre way, because some of the books in which are produced. The second comic Flash comic that changed its name to the Whiz comic, and oddly enough as the first number. This comic costs $ 97,000 in almost original condition. If interested, you can watch a new television series, also simply titled The Flash, which premiered on the CW on October 7, 2014.

 

7. Captain America Comics: $ 125,000

Captain America Comics fill the seventh spot as the most expensive comic in the world. Published in March 1941, was a logical first time when the legendary Captain America appeared. The price of this comic is in good condition for $ 125,000.

 

6. Batman: $ 125,000

Batman for nearly 80 years has been featured in many pop culture series, limited series andgraphic novels published by DC Comics. It arrives at sixth as the 6th most expensive comic in the world. Published in the spring of 1940, the comic is entirely dedicated to the superhero we all love – Batman. The price is also $ 125,000. For that price you can get a set of the first 10 Batman never-before-seen, original 1940’s first Print Collector’s Set #1-10. Wow! I am in.
