Money is flooding in to Republican candidate coffers like a $20 bill in a lapdancer’s drawers. Our election has already been bouight, according to various souirces:
From rhe New York Times: A stealthy coterie of difficult-to-trace outside groups is slipping tens of millions of dollars of attacks ads and negative automated telephone calls into the final days of the midterm campaign, helping fuel an unprecedented surge of last-minute spending on Senate races.
From the LATimes:
Kentucky’s U.S. Senate race, crowded with attack ads from both sides, one group has spent millions praising Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell as a friend of the state’s coal industry and flaying his Democratic challenger for cashing checks from “anti-coal” environmentalists.
Whether the coal industry is helping to pay for those ads remains a mystery. They come from the Kentucky Opportunity Coalition, a nonprofit advocacy group that does not report its donors.
