COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. — Authorities say the fatal shooting that occurred during a burglary in western Colorado Springs early Sunday morning was justified.

Although she warned the intruder to stop and told him she had a gun, the intruder continued to enter the home, the investigation found. Even after the woman fired a warning shot, the intruder continued crawling into the home. The resident later told police that when the warning shot failed to stop the man, she feared for her life.
