(Before It's News)

Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston was placed on lockdown for several hours Sunday evening while base police investigated a suspicious vehicle.

Police have one person in custody in connection to the vehicle, no other details have been released.

Director of Public Affairs for Joint Base San Antonio, Todd White, said this was not a shooting incident. “There is no active shooter,” he said. “And nothing to indicate there ever was.”

Heavy traffic was reported near base entrances as no one was allowed in or out while police investigated and the lockdown was in effect.MOREHERE
