In the past, I’ve had a lot of trouble understanding the mindset of some of the super wealthy people in my country. Some of the billionaires America houses give up their wealth to fight disease and poverty. But others use some of their billions to buy politics and make sure their wealth expands. But for what reason?

It’s when extreme wealth is used to create even more wealth that it begins to feel like a mental disorder. People who hoard their billions are, in my mind, no different than people who have newspapers stacked floor to ceiling. Well, there is one difference: the latter is relatively harmless compared to the former.

Greed is madness.
