I have to say, I find it remarkable that a “random shooting” can take place in a Jerusalem synagogue, which naturally contains mostly Israeli Jews, and result in the only four people killed being one British and three American citizens.
What are the odds, eh?
As Netanyahu said about 9/11:
“It’s very good. [...] Well, not very good, but it will generate immediate sympathy [for Israel].”
And then again in 2008:
“We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq,” Ma’ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events “swung American public opinion in our favor.”
