(Before It's News)

Use ‘em or lose ‘em.

Radical Green groups have placed property rights under siege in Virginia and throughout the United States.

Homeowners, business owners and particularly family farmers have all felt the pain.

In recent years, land trusts have become particularly egregious offenders.

The idea seemed sound — Protect open space by deeding property to trusts that will preserve open space for all us.

It’s a nice concept, and one many good citizens could support.

Leave it to the Greens to barge in and mess things up.

These days land trusts are colluding with government to bully landowners, drain their land of value, and harass them in their daily use.

Martha Boneta is a great example.  Martha owns a beautiful Virginia martha-andbigsmile

farm that is subject to a land trust easement controlled by the Piedmont Environmental Council.  She’s spent the better part of a decade battling constant harassment by the PEC.  A Board Member of another group, Ducks Unlimited, even wanted to install surveillance cameras to place Martha under constant watch.

Take a look at this video of the PEC folks showing up and literally demanding a look inside Martha’s closets!

Virginia needs reform and it needs it now.

CFACT is joining forces with concerned citizens and organizations for a day of action in Richmond, Virginia this Thursday.

I’ll be there and so will CFACT Senior Policy Analyst Bonner Cohen who has prepared detailed testimony.

The day kicks off with a 9:00 AM rally at the capitol bell tower.

At 9:30 AM we’ll be moving on to a hearing in the General Assembly building.

Please join CFACT in supporting property rights wherever you may be, and if you’re convenient to Virginia, head on over and join us.
