Maricopa County Republican chairman A.J. LaFaro opts out of leadership role
Republican establishment attorney Kory Langhofer showed up at the Maricopa County Republican Executive Guidance Committee meeting Thursday evening to defend six of the eleven precinct committeemen accused of endorsing Democrat candidates who were running against Republicans in Tuesday’s general election.
Those accused who were present struggled to explain why they made the cross party endorsements. Langhofer, in their defense said he would file a lawsuit if the EGC decided to remove their voting rights, claiming it violated state statutes.
In the end he won again through legal intimidation.
It comes down to the fact that conservatives in the party have lost their right to defend the party against internal attacks perpetrated by RINO renegades and malcontents who would better find a home within the Democrat party.
Maricopa County Chairman AJ LaFaro spoke of his dilemma in regard to the threats of costly lawsuits, despite the fact that the overwhelming opinion of the group was to remove the voting rights. As a result no decision was reached and the issue was tabled.
At the conclusion of the meeting Chairman LaFaro announced that he would not seek reelection as county chair, nor would he run for state chairman.
