The New Flu Shot Is Made With Dog Cells (VIDEO)

Kenny Valenzuela’s latest video covers the Flucelvax vaccine which breaks a decades-long practice of growing the influenza virus in chicken eggs.  Now it is being grown in kidney cells from dogs.

As it turns out, though, this technology – Madin-Darby Canine Kidney Epithelial Cells (MDCK Line) – isn’t exactly the cutting edge that it is made out to be.
