Journalist Glenn Greenwald said Dick Cheney is able to brag about the success of torture on weekend news shows because the Obama administration has decided to shield torturers rather than prosecute them.
In a wide ranging interview about the CIA torture report, prospects for the 2016 presidential race, US-Cuba relations and the Sony hack, Greenwald told HuffPost Live that the discussion about the torture report is distorted since we are not hearing from the victims of torture themselves …. http://rt.com/usa
The man who speaks here in this video is 100% correct. Bush and Cheney violated the Geneva convention laws and are indeed war criminals who ‘should’ be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Obama, shamefully has decided not to do so. This is an atrocity to the citizens/government of this country. It not only is unjust but paints the most terrible and hypocritical picture of the U.S. in the eyes of the rest of the world. If we don’t do anything, don’t demand that justice be served, etc.,etc.. then as this man stated, it’s all over for we Americans in terms of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and just about everything this country has ever stood for in terms of our freedoms and liberties. I see this moment in historical time as the turning point. Very sad.
