Do YOU Have THIS Credibility Problem When it Comes to Bible Prophecy?

With the soon release of Carl Gallups’ newest book “Final Warning” and our material on the internet concerning the “time of the end” we are frequently offered the benefit of correction from others who claim to be an authority on the matter. It has become so prevalent now that it is difficult to read all of it… but we try.
There is one thing that we always urge people to keep in mind however. If you use the word “Revelations” when referring to the last book of the Bible we will probably disregard everything else you have to say about it.
Sorry.
The reason? It’s quite simple, really. If someone claims to have intimate knowledge of Mike Shoesmith and, when referring to his last name, pluralizes it like this: “I know Mike Shoesmiths really well and can tell you everything you need to know about Mike Shoesmiths” then anyone with an actual intimate connection with him will, correctly, disregard your so-called “knowledge.”
It is likewise and perhaps even more important that people who claim to have intimate knowledge of the last book of the Bible at least know that there is no “s” in the title of the book of Revelation. It is not pluralized in the Bible and there is a very good reason for that. It was a single revelation!
The last book of the Bible begins with the words “The Revelation of Jesus Christ [...].” It wasn’t multiple revelations.
When people correct us with the words “the book of Revelations says [...]” it is an automatic warning flag. It tells us the person is probably parroting things they’ve heard from others about Bible prophecy without actually studying the Bible for themselves.
We are also happy to point out that ignorance is not an incurable state.
