Investors in U.S.-based funds poured $36.5 billion into stock funds in the latest weekly period, marking the biggest inflows on record as U.S. stocks surged to record highs, data from Thomson Reuters Lipper service showed on Friday.
The massive cash commitments for the week ended Dec. 24 were the biggest since Lipper’s records began in 1992. Investors pledged entirely to funds that specialize in U.S. stocks, which attracted $39 billion, while funds that invest in non-U.S. shares posted $2.5 billion in outflows.
The demand came from both retail and institutional investors, with stock mutual funds attracting $12.8 billion and stock exchange-traded funds attracting $23.7 billion. Mutual funds are commonly purchased by retail investors, while exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, are thought to represent the behavior of institutional investors.
The inflows into stock mutual funds were the biggest since March 2000, while the inflows into stock ETFs were the biggest since March 2008. The overall inflows into stock funds follows $17.9 billion in withdrawals the prior week, which were the biggest since February. Read more

1. Gas is low because the Bush Cabal/City of London wants war in Syria (which would escalate). Putin has blocked WW III from starting because he wants more land in the change-over. Therefore, he is using Syria to get concessions. The Bush Cabal does not want him to get it so they are destroying the Ruble by dropping Oil/Gas prices. If Bush Cabal/City of London gets there way, oil will skyrocket, the Russian economy will be saved, just no extra land for Putin. Eventually, in fact there is a proposal on the UN’s desk regarding this exact topic today with a deadline of January 15, 2015. Take a guess who is going to win the game of chicken. It’s already determined?
2. OPEC technically could set the price of crude per barrel at any price but OPEC is led by The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. If they chose to go against the Bush Cabal the protection of the Kingdom as per agreement made back by Nixon and Kissinger to protect the Kingdom against all enemies in exchange for all purchases to be made in Petro Dollars. So yes, the could set the prices low against Bushes people but they wont because their Kingdom would be overthrown without the USA’s Industrial Military complex protecting the Royal family and their control and power. This is why this is not OPEC setting the price of crude now, it’s Bush to apply pressure to Putin and Russia. Let us have the war and you will become very rich both personally and as a country or don’t let us have our war and we will crush your economy. 3. As far as inflation and a recession. the government numbers are not only falsified; They do not calculate “true unemployment” the way they use to. It’s too lengthy to explain but suffice it to say “IF” the government calculated inflation, unemployment etc., the way they did in 1929 the USA would be in a depression and is in a depression now, on top of a prescription pill epidemic. However, these problems are minuscule if you compare it to what is coming. Not having a job will become meaningless in the future.
