Meet Gun Control’s New Open Carry Poster Child

Open carry activist, 35-year-old, Veronica Dunnachie was arrested on capital murder charges for the death of her husband and step-daughter. Dunnachie was a prominent member of Open Carry Tarrant County and Open Carry Texas as well as a prolific online poster sharing countless images of herself excercising her 2nd amendment rights.
Dunnachie was pulled-over and arrested while she was driving herself to Millwood Hospital, a mental health and drug treatment facility.
Looser Attitudes On Guns
As the gun debate staggers on a new Pew Poll shows support for gun rights in America is UP, not down, 7% since the tragic events at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT. that left 26 people — mostly small children, dead, just two years ago. According to the poll 52 percent of Americans choose Second Amendment rights over gun control.

Partisan differences on this question, already sizeable in 2012, have widened over the last two years. As was the case in December 2012, a majority of Democrats (60%) say guns do more to put people’s safety at risk, while only about a third (35%) say they do more to protect people from becoming crime victims. By contrast, eight-in-ten Republicans say guns do more to protect people from becoming crime victims, up 17-points from 2012.
Gun Nuts – vs – Nuts With Guns
What PEW doesn’t address is extreme behavior or extremism. We rarely hear about extremism in relations to ourselves as Americans. Instead we point fingers at other “extremists” we deem or have been told are out to get us.
The truth is, there are extremists — like Dunnachie, in every neighborhood and a nut with a gun is still a nut with a gun with or without Islam.
