PA: Suspect Breaks in, Steals Dog, Jumps out, Breaks into 2nd Apt, Gets Shot

Suarez Medero then tried to get to the woman by breaking through the sliding-glass door and entering the apartment, said investigators. He then took the woman's dog and jumped out a second-floor window, police said.

He tried to break into another apartment on the first floor, officials said. Suarez Medero then attacked two residents in the apartment, said police.

A struggle ensued and a resident inside the apartment pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking the suspect twice, said Harran.
