Share this article with your friends and family members and remind them that self hygiene is the number one important thing in life and the only way to keep those parasites out of our bodies!
Head lice are small bugs; insects. They are between 2–3 mm long. Their bodies are usually pale and gray, but colour could vary. One “lice” is called a louse.
Head lice feed on the blood of humans from the scalp. They usually survive for less than a day if they cannot get food. Lice lay and attach their eggs to hair close to the scalp. They are oval (about 0.8 x 0.3 mm) and usually yellow to white. The eggs are attached with a sticky substance that holds them in place. After the eggs hatch, the empty egg remain attached to the hair shaft. Head lice live about 28 days. They can multiply quickly, laying up to 10 eggs a day.
