10. Oval Office Attic

Rumours are circulating that people have been hearing some strange noises coming from the attic above the Oval Office; you know where the President sits. It has been said that people have heard a male voice say, “I am David Burns”. David Burns is the person who surrendered the land that the White House was built on.

9. The Basement

The basement of the White House is said to be the home of the “Demon Cat”. The cat appears right before a national crisis ensues. It would first appear as a kitten, but as you get closer it grows to become angry tiger-like animal with sharp red eyes. It is only visible at night and by people who are alone in the basement.

8. The Rose Garden

The Rose Garden was planted by Dolly Madison. It is said to be haunted by the first lady’s ghost; she was the first to live in the current location. An attempt was made to dig it up a century later by Woodrow Wilson’s wife. The ghost of Dolly Madison appeared and prevented her from digging it. You can even smell roses in the White House because of her spirit.

7. Second Floor Halls

He’s been known to knock on the bedroom doors. As well, people have reportedly seen the second First Lady Abigail Adams floating through the doors.
