Banking On Armageddon

Back in the days when I was very young and equally foolish, my friends and I would often muse about what we would do if we knew the exact date the world was coming to an end. The general sentiment was that we would go out and max out our credit cards, knowing that Armageddon would cancel out whatever debt we ran up.
To use a term that lefties like to bandy about like confetti at an attention-deficit-hyperactivity-disorder parade, expecting 86 million individuals to shoulder a debt accruing to a total population of 322 million people is completely unsustainable.I’m wondering if Obama and his Democrat freak show know something the rest of us don’t. The Treasury Department just announced the latest national debt figures and it would appear that America’s deficit debt has reached an astounding $18 trillion, or put another way, every full-time private sector worker owes $84,266.
But we all know that, so there are really only two possibilities: One is that the US Treasury is eventually going to welch on repayment and stick it to the poor suckers who bought government bonds, or the Armageddon clock will strike midnight before the country slides into default.
Judging by the Administration’s reckless foreign policy, I’m beginning to think it’s the latter. I can just see Obama, Biden, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, all smoking some of that excellent Hawaiian choom and dreaming up the ultimate Ponzi scheme while munching Twinkies.
“We can like, literally spend all the money in the world,” a glassy-eyed Biden muses, while picking pieces of shredded coconut off Pelosi’s lapels. “And when it comes time to make a payment, we just generate more green through like, carbon taxes and a healthcare scam.”
“And when there’s no more cash to tax, we just f——-g go out and borrow more.” Obama chides in, taking another deep puff, “because before it’s time to repay any of it, our foreign policy will have made it irrelevant!”
“And the best part is, we can blame it all on the Republicans!” they all chime in unison.
Dangerous foreign policy, out-of-control spending and having hapless Republican patsies available to take the fall appears to be the mainstay of the Obama Administration, as the world gets ever more dangerous for sane and rational people and the cost of Big Government chews up more and more of America’s GDP.
Those crazy, paranoid conspiracy theorists accusing Obama of being a secret Muslim may not be too far off the mark, judging by his administration’s “progress.” I still don’t get why it was necessary for Muammar Gaddafi to die, given that he had voluntarily surrendered his weapons of mass destruction. And while he wasn’t necessarily the most popular dictator in the Middle East, he at least ran a stable shop and kept the nut jobs at bay. What Obama achieved in Libya with his strategy of ‘leading from behind’ was mainly serious instability and the same arms that were supplied to the Libyan “freedom fighters” are now being used by ISIS to destabilize an even larger and more crucial part of that area.
