MOSCOW, January 9 (Sputnik) — The Charlie Hebdo gunmen have been eliminated, the hostage they had been helding captive is now free, according to AFP.

Rounds of gunfire and several explosions were heard at the printworks where the brothers have been trapped. Shortly after the police stormed the building and the operation came to its logical conclusion.
The other terrorist, identified by police as Amedy Coulibaly, was also “neutralized”.

However the original number of hostages held captive the whole day is still to be confirmed as at least four of them were killed, Reuters reports.

Earlier on Friday, a gunman opened fire outside a kosher food supermarket in the Paris’ 20th arrondissement, demanding freedom for the Charlie Hebdo attack suspects.
On January 7, 2015, gunmen armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles entered the offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in central Paris, shooting and killing 12 people and injuring a number of others.
