The man asked him how long is the foreseeable future and the park guy said to weeks. Meaning he can say for certain there won’t be an eruption for two weeks. Dosn’t mean there will be one in two weeks. Just that he can’t say for sure that there won’t be. I hope this makes sense. I still think it was just sooo strange that he said two weeks? He could have said anything but two weeks.

I’m assuming your ash thickness map is an example of distrubution if it’s a super eruption as in the past ? Chances are good it wont be that bad… Too many quakes are releasing gases , not a major build up ! May just be a smaller eruption with alot of lave oozing.

Yellowstone is a wild card is case their plans don’t go as planned! Lets pay attention to the Middle east and WW III. Shats going to get ugly soon. 
It could blow up in two weeks. Or two months. Two years. Two thousand years. The only people that know are the ones who are eventually gonna blow it up.
The White House under Bush put a gag order on the USGS to quell any public info going out about Yellowstone. This gag order continued under Obama. Although there will be another eruption again, I am betting against the two week deadline. The reason is the USGS cannot predict earthquakes yet with the accuracy within two weeks.
If an eruption were to take place, the federal gov’t would not make any announcements that would cause large numbers of people to pack their vehicles and get on the highways. That would cause traffic jams and traffic would be sitting on blocked highways going nowhere.
Something is very wrong with this news story.
