The day after an Idaho toddler found a gun in his mother’s purse in a Wal-Mart checkout line and accidentally shot and killed her, the toddler’s grandpa is telling gun control groups to quit grandstanding on the tragedy and quit using the accident to push gun control.Veronica Rutledge’s father-in-law, Terry Rutledge, described the shooting as “a terrible, terrible accident” and is outraged that gun control groups are treating it as an opportunity.

Where is the push to ban cars because of accidents??
All in all. It should not be a push to for gun control by the government. Instead it should be a push for gun ethics and training. For the gun to have gone off it must have been chambered with the safety off or chambered with the hammer drawn back. Chamber no gun till you are ready to shoot it! No bullet in the chamber, no shot can be fired from it accidentally. I can pull, chamber and fire as fast as a gun that is pulled and chambered already. Sometimes even faster!
I feel for the mother that died and for the child that will eventually find out what took place later in the years.
